Starlight Express – Are you real, yes or no?

I woke up wanting to hear music from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway Musical, Starlight Express, a show we saw as a family in New York back in the late 80's. I often feel cheated of a relationship with my parents. I find music, like this song, to be a good connector. I'm thinking about my dad specifically today.

I sold my 2nd painting at Trenton’s Art All Night!

Although I went to Art School, I had never really let myself indulge in painting until my mom was diagnosed w/ Leukemia in Oct '08. After the Environmental Program Director from NJ's Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Michelle Knapik, bought my piece at the Trenton Artworks Art All Night 2010, I was inspired to keep going. Last weekend, I sold my second piece and got to meet the buyer, a man named Joe!

What is D Day to us? My mom’s is coming up on June 23. Here’s a video tribute we made.

The days leading up to my mom's transition, I played Enya's Shepherd Moons CD on repeat for my mom. When my dad was transitioning, I played Steely Dan for him. Jeffrey Fadden and Lori Ingwerson helped me to make this tribute video for my mom, which we played at her viewing, the night that Michael Jackson died, June 25, 2009.

My art prints are now online. Portion of proceeds go to Ashinaga, educational and emotional support for orphans worldwide.

I'm excited to share that my art prints are now available online at Buy a print in June (there's half a month left!) and * I WILL DONATE a portion of the proceeds to the Ashinaga Non-Profit who provides educational and emotional support for orphans worldwide*. This includes those effected by the tsunami in Japan this year.

Have you seen Yoko Ono’s Mother’s Day Project, My Mommy Is Beautiful?

Upload your mother's photo to Yoko Ono's Flickr account, here, "write her name, a note about her and to her and to yourself. If it gets to be a love letter, a poem or a very long message as long as a novel (!) that's fine."
