Sergio Alemdariz is a University of Texas Grad Student working on his documentary, On Losing A Parent. His intention is to capture the story of 3 individuals who have lost parents in their 20’s. In the film, Chaney Greenwood, Lyndsey Anthony, and Austin Gage will work on re-creating a photo of the parent they lost. I have been interest in film making since a very young age. When I was little I would write out scripts for films I would want to make and act them out with my action figures. My father really instilled a mentality in me to always strive to be the best in whatever I want to do and make sure to do what I love. Originally I wanted to try to get into Fiction films but during my Undergrad time at the University of North Texas I fell in love with documentary films and the practice. After graduating, I got accepted into the Graduate Program at UNT (same school). I am the youngest in the program (23 years old), ages range from late 20s to late 40s/early 50s.
I have lived in North Texas all my life. Originally from Mansfield, Texas and now currently living in Denton, Texas with my girlfriend, two cats, and the world’s best dog.
